Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Mangala account and the practice record stored with it. Mangala is published by Mengyuan Tu on Google Play and the App Store.

Delete it in the app

This is the fastest way, and it removes everything at once.

1. Open Mangala on your phone.
2. Tap the Account tab, the last icon in the bar at the bottom.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm when asked. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Delete part of your record, and keep your account

You don't have to close your account to remove something. In the app:

· A day: open it, tap the menu in the top corner, choose Delete, and confirm. The mark, its reflection, and its photo go with it.
· A photo: open the day, tap Edit reflection, and tap the cross on the photo.
· A reflection: open the day, tap Edit reflection, clear the text, and save.

If you are signed in, each of these is removed from your account as well as from your phone, the next time the app syncs. It cannot be undone.

Or ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app installed, email freealert@icloud.com from the address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. We action requests within 30 days, usually within a few days. We may ask you to confirm the request from that same address, so that nobody else can delete your practice record.

What is deleted

Everything we hold for your account:

· Your practice record — every mark, including moon days and rest days.
· Your written reflections.
· Photos you attached to a day.
· Your profile — display name, @username, and your practice settings.
· Your account itself, including the email address and account identifier from Apple or Google.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing is kept for our own use. Once your account is deleted we hold no practice record, profile, or contact details for you, and we cannot restore them.

Copies may remain briefly in the routine encrypted backups our hosting provider keeps, until those backups age out. We may also keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself where the law requires it.

If you used Mangala without an account, nothing was ever sent to us. That record lives only on your phone, and deleting the app removes it.
